Macarons

Today, I'm going to share one of my favorite recipes for Macarons. It could be hard, but keep practicing and you'll get the perfect macarons!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. In the bowl of food processor, combine the powdered sugar, almond flour, and the 1/2 of salt. If you don't have a processor, just sift it until it is extra fine
  2. In a seperate bowl, beat the egg whites and the remaining salt until the peaks form. Add sugar little by little
  3. Add the vanilla and the coloring and keep beating.
  4. Add about 1/3 of the sifted almond flour mixture at a time to the beaten egg whites and use a spatula to gently fold it until combined. The batter should be able to create a figure 8
  5. Transfer the batter into the piping bag and squeeze it so it is a size of a coin. Pat the tray down and put it on the oven.
  6. After it comes out of the oven, let it sit in room temperature for 30 minutes-1 hour and touch it when it's dry.
  7. Then make the cream and voila! You have the perfect macarons.
